"Navigator of the Seas" cruise
After our first cruise aboard the "Adventure of the Seas" we decided to take a group of friends with us on the next one. Sixteen of us set out September 18-27, 2003 for an unforgettable cruise to the Western Caribbean.

"Caribbean Princess" cruise
We decided on Princess for our third cruise. This was a seven day Eastern route onboard the "Caribbean Princess" taken December 10-17, 2005

"Jewel of the Seas" cruise
I had always heard that the "Radiance" class of ships from Royal Caribbean were the best of the line so it was an easy decision for me to book this cruise. It was an eight day eastern Caribbean cruise December 2-10, 2006 and Scott and I had a D1 balcony stateroom located right in the middle of the hump with a great view on Deck nine. Everything I had heard was true. It is smaller than the "Voyager" class but has glass everywhere. So we grabbed the regulars and even brought along a new couple and headed for the "Jewel."

"Disney Magic" cruise
Time for something completely different this time Our friends from Chicago gave us a call saying they got a really good deal on a seven day Disney cruise. It was and since I had always considered one except for price, how could we resist. Bob and Michael hooked us up (we met them on our Navigator cruise} and away we went. They picked us up at the Orlando airport wearing Mickey Mouse ears that light up. We met their friend Carol who was wonderful and the tone for the week was set. We spent a night in Orlando on November 30, Between December 1-8, 2007 we visited Key West, Grand Cayman, Cozumel and Castaway Cay. My overall impression of this cruise? If you like the Disney parks and kids then this is the motherload. If not then it is a one time shot. The food is just a cut above standard theme park fare and no casino. "Freedom of the Seas" cruise
Currently the holder of the largest cruise ship in the world title, the Freedom of the Seas is a very nice ship with some very familiar spaces as the ships of the Voyager class ships and adding some new twists. Anyone who has been on one of those ships will feel at home on the Freedom class ships. We took this cruise September 20-28, 2008. This was not exactly a planned cruise for us but one day I was at home and got a call from my travel agent Rod about this cruise and he offered pricing I couldn't pass up. He was also going on this cruise and since Scott's birthday fell during it, how could I say no. We visited San Juan, St. Thomas and St. Maarten on this cruise and had three days at sea to relax and explore the ship. Don't forget to checkout video section to see videos from this cruise.

"Independence of the Seas" cruise
So we were off again to sail on the "Independence of the Seas" December 7-13, 2008. This time with our friends Ron and John and it turned out to be one of the best cruises we have had. I only wish it had been seven days instead of six. It does make a difference. The ship is the latest of RCI's Freedom class. It debuted in Europe in May and this was actually only its fourth cruise in the U.S. The cabins had a tea pot complete with tea bags and cups. This was the first Freedom Class ship for Ron and John and it was fun enjoying it with them. We visited three ports, two of which we had not been to before and two Sea days. We visited Belize City, Costa Maya, and Cozumel.
albums: 10
"Oasis of the Seas" cruise
Well this was the big one. I followed every news story and website picture of the building of it for the last couple of years and was determined to go on it. Everything superlative you have heard about this ship is true. When Royal Caribbean said they wanted to deliver the "WOW" factor with this ship, they meant it and they did it. Scott and I went with Ron and John again and this time we took along some other friends Hal and Mia and Shawna and David who spent a week prior to the cruise at Disney World and met up with us onboard. We visited Nassau, St. Thomas and St. Maarten. We spent three full days at sea which isn't enough time to fully explore this technical marvel. We flew in a day early and the cruise was April 17-24, 2010. Don't forget to check out the videos from this cruise by clicking on the video tab at the top of the page.

"Radiance of the Seas" cruise
This was not a cruise we had planned, but when we found out the price, we couldn't pass it up. This was our seventh cruise with Royal Caribbean and this ship was the first of the Radiance class ships. It is ten years old and headed for dry dock in May to get modernized with new venues from the Oasis class ships and upgrades to all the staterooms. This was a five night cruise out of Tampa, FL with ports in Costa Maya and Cozumel.
